Our wedding was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more and we can't thank the staff at Walcot enough for this. It was truly magical and we wish we could do it al over again. The day ran so smoothly and all our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. Thank you from the bottom of out hearts.

The cabin is modern and very clean. Everything you need for your stay is provided and more. Dog friendly Has a hot tub 3 options for seating - decking chairs, table and chairs and outdoor sofas. The BBQ is a nice touch and allows 2 people to cook means comfortably. Very peaceful environment and you are left to enjoy your time there alone. 10 minute walk away you can see great views of the river Trent. Overall everything about our stay has far exceeded our expectations and I couldn’t recommended this place enough to anyone wanted a relaxing time away. Our dogs were able to run around all weekend as the cabin grounds were fully secure.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Walcot Hall with a staycation at the house, with the Yurt also.

Cindy and Helen were both on hand to answer all my questions on the weeks leading up to the weekend and were always so helpful and friendly.

The grounds and house itself at Walcot are gorgeous! The beautiful outdoor spaces with outdoor seating and BBQ were very well used as we had great weather! Before our arrival Cindy asked if we wanted a small pool putting up as we had younger children, which was a life saver and a big hit with the children! And we could easily keep an eye on them too!

The gardens are gorgeous and maintained with wonderful views over the fields with the horses. I think everyone of us enjoyed watching the stable hands take the horses out each morning and bring them in each night too. Wether it was from the lawns or from the kitchen window it was always a lovely little treat being sop close to them!

All rooms in the house are beautifully decorated and inkeeping with the houses feel, especially all the bedrooms! The children all said they were princess bedrooms, which they truly are. With such comfortable beds too!!

We couldn't be more grateful to Cindy, Helen and the team who got the house prepared for us, everything was spotless. And putting additional beds in the rooms we had requested to cater for the smaller ones was such a big help!
I would recommend a wedding and a staycation to anyone, truly a beautiful place that you can make wonderful memories. Thank you so much!

I organised and hosted a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend at Walcot Hall this weekend and the place exceeded all expectations! Cindy was incredibly helpful in the lead up to the event, answering all questions I had and offering suggestions for the day. We were even offered early check in and late check out to accommodate those coming from further away!

The venue was stunning – photos don’t do it justice – all beds were VERY comfortable, the house was lovely and cool in the heat, cabin and yurt both stunning (although yurt very hot in the warm weather!!), shower in the yurt was perfectly fine (some comments on showers inside being slightly weak, nothing major).

As it is very secluded and far from shops, I organised a Tesco delivery the morning of the event, which Cindy and her staff very kindly took in and put away for me! I underestimated the drinks required for a group of 18, but Cindy came to the rescue and sold us some wine before leaving us to enjoy!
Although the (extremely lovely) staff were on site for the duration of our stay, looking after the horses etc. the place felt private and relaxed. Our evening even went into early hours of the morning with no bother, Cindy was just pleased we had a great time, it was such a dream!

I had great feedback from everyone that attended, Cindy was truly fabulous, making us feel very relaxed and we felt we were able to treat the place as our own for the weekend which was honestly all we could ask for!

Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you book your staycation here, we had an incredible time and we even said we should make it a yearly occurrence since we had such fun! Thank you Cindy (and Ronaldo, Paris and India Rose 😊)

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely amazing. Cindy the staff and wedding planner Julie were amazing. Beautiful grounds very well kept and our every need was sorted for us. Best day of our lives and would highly recommend for anyone who wants the perfect day. Very professional and excellent venue. Book now for perfect day. Walcot hall is by far the best venue to get married at.....every detail was perfect, the grounds were beautiful, stunning and perfectly kept, our wedding photos at this venue were perfect.....Cindy made this day amazing for us, we were left wanting for nothing, they even threw in a massive beautiful arch in last minute to make it even more beautiful. The place was pristine. The staff were on it all day!!!!didn't stop and made our guests and us feel like we were the only people who had ever got married their!!cannot recommend Walcot hall highly enough. Cindy,Theresa,Helen and Julie worked tirelessly to make this day the amazing wedding it was!! If you want the perfect wedding day this is your place. Every single one of our guests complimented the staff and the venue and how professional and stunning it was.

Rooms: Stayed in the Apple Blossom Yurt for a romantic weekend away. It was absolutely beautiful! The private hot tub was also amazing. The weather wasn't great, but relaxing in the yurt listening to the rain was super relaxing :)
Noteworthy details: The Host, Cindy, was amazing.
Incredibly friendly, had everything set up for us ready for our arrival. Couldn't have asked for a better service. Will definitely stay again!

Lovely warm welcome from Cindy, beautiful lodge, beautiful location - especially as you can see the stars in full glory at night. Such a spiritual place. Brilliant service from Cindy. She was most welcoming and provided a 5 star service. Can't wait to come back again.

We had a fantastic time in the yurt and the hot tub outside was great in the evening. Little touches with decoration at the place were very beautiful. We loved our stay at the beautiful estate; the host was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Lovely yurt with beautiful furnishings, very comfortable. Shower room was lovely and so was the hot tub - the children had a lot of fun using it. Robes and slippers were provided and there was a chilled bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival. Set in beautiful grounds and lovely countryside. Very peaceful and relaxing break.

We were 2 families with 2 five year olds and 2 dogs.
We had a wonderful 8 day staycation in gorgeously appointed rooms in serene surroundings. We made the occasional journey to York, Flamborough and Beverley but also enjoyed local walks and pub food (20 min away). Cindy, our host, couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcomed and at home. Thank you Cindy for a fabulous stay!

Walcott hall is a beautiful venue for a family staycation. The hall is decorated to a high standard and all the bedrooms are lovely. Cindy makes you feel very welcome and can’t do enough to make sure your stay is amazing. There are lots of things to do, from playing tennis, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the serene surroundings of the Walcot countryside. Would definitely recommend to anyone for either a nights stay or maybe even something longer.

Weekend stay as a treat for mother and father in law. Incredibly warm welcome from Cindy. Beautiful house superb decor. Breakfast in the cozy kitchen and drinks in the drawing room in front of the fire definite highlights. One of the friendliest places I have stayed, really made the weekend for mother in law

Had a wonderful time celebrating my 60th Birthday with my family. The hall is amazing and very comfortable. Cindy made us feel extremely welcome. I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect setting, especially as the weather was also beautiful allowing us to also enjoy the gardens.

A wonderfully cosy and romantic yurt located in a secluded corner of the Walcot Hall estate. A private hot tub, beautiful views, lovely walks and a warm welcome on arrival - this is a great place for a quiet and relaxing few nights away. Huge thanks to Cindy for her help and kindness during my stay.

Liked Everything! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious the hot tub is a must to relax in the evening. Everything was clean and tidy and the WiFi was good too.
